BTLPT and LOTE Registration Deadline Approaching
Job fairs are already occurring! But don't worry, the hiring will continue through the summer. If you have not yet passed the BTLPT or LOTE, the last day to register is April 15, 2016. The exams will be offered April 30 through May 7. After that, the next opportunity to take those tests is July. As a result, it is critical to sign up and take it in April/May if you hope to teach for the 2015-2016 year! Price of Exams Increased
The beginning of this month (September 2015), the price of TExES exams increased to $131. Individual Core Subjects exams increased to $65.

How Much Does it Cost?
TExES exams cost $131.
When Can I Take It?
The BTLPT is only offered in testing windows. The exam will be offered July 25-August 1. Although the registration deadline is not until July 10, you should register as soon as possible. Test centers usually fill up before the deadline.
Who Needs To Take the BTLPT?
Candidates that want to be bilingual teachers in Texas must pass the BTLPT, along with the other required exams.
What Will the Exam Cover?
The exam assesses your knowledge of all areas of Spanish, including reading and listening comprehension, as well as writing and oral proficiency. You are also required to write a lesson plan, essay, and a response to an email in Spanish.

LOTE and BTLPT Scores
If you took the LOTE or BTLPT in March 2015, your score will be released April 13, 2015. Some people already have their score. To view your score, log on to your ETS account.
