Generalist
EC-6 and Generalist 4-8 news: The details are not settled yet, but in
January 2015 ETS is scheduled to start offering Core Subjects EC-6 and
Core Subjects 4-8 (which will replace the Generalist EC-6 and Generalist
4-8). The new exam/rules will require candidates to pass each individual section
of the exam. On the first attempt, candidates are required to take the
entire exam. If they fail certain sections, they will be able to retake
only those portions. There will be a required waiting period to
retest.
