ETS requires BTLPT scorers (graders) to be certified bilingual education teachers in Texas, or bilingual education professors in Texas. They go through specific training and must pass a scoring/rating test. In addition, each day they score/grade they must pass a calibration test. Each speaking (oral) task and writing task is graded by two raters/graders.
The BTLPT scores will be released August 4.
